While studying Neuroscience and Religion in Virginia’s CNU, Eric found a family of retired Marines with a SCUBA obsession. Their club brought him up in diving using SDI, PADI, technical, recreational, sidemount, and cave training. From across state lines, they came together to mentor Eric into the Open Water Instructor he is today. While still teaching in Virginia and Northern Florida, he moved to Miami to reinforce the foundation of Hydra Divers. Although he specializes in Sidemount education using the knowledge of his 3 different highly-skilled instructors, Eric also loves teaching Open Water, helping customers choose and orient-to new gear, and bringing divers into the streamlined and passionate technical-mindset of a DIR diver.<\/p>\n
In addition to teaching standard courses, Eric also started Hydra’s Coaching program, which is a skill-focused, long-term, intensely-detailed program, not focused on certification.
