How We Teach
At Hydra Divers, we teach SCUBA differently. Shops around the world have been shortening the beginner SCUBA class down to the absolute minimum of 2 days, and only offering one of the possible beginner courses. Moreover, shops are loading more students onto a single instructor for these one-weekend classes, up to 8 students per one instructor. This same fast-lane approach is taken in higher-level classes as well, often leaving the students with certification cards but little improved skill.
All of our classes are capped at 4 students and are all assisted by a Divemaster. Between your experienced Instructor and skilled Divemaster, we can cater to your needs as a student. Our classes requiring more personal skill development have a 2:1 ratio maximum. These courses include Sidemount, Deep, Discover Scuba, and any upon request.
Unforgettable Diving Experiences
Our services are designed to ensure you get the most out of your diving experience, regardless of your skill level. Hydra offers three distinct avenues for those new-to-SCUBA. Our most popular introduction to the ocean is the Open Water Scuba Diver course, taught over double the time, with more than double the in-water time, and half the ratio.
